Revlon Lip Butter Macaroon&Cupcake Review

I recently purchased two Revlon Lip Butters, in the colours Macaroon and Cupcake. There have been many mixed feelings about these products so I swallowed my reservations and bought them, well to be honest I was very excited about getting them after I watched MissGlamorazzi's review on them on youtube, she is one of my favorite youtubers so that really helped make up my mind, also Fleur De Force's blog post on them (another of my favorite youtubers) anyway on to the product reviews, I am reviewing both colours individually on here as each lip butter varies in pigmentation, texture etc.

Things about both of them:
They have a slightly gel like formulation but I don't mind this at all, it also has a soft texture which feels velvety on the lips, the only problem with the formulation is that when you wind down the lip butters they tend to smoosh a bit at the top. The colour stays on for about half the day if left alone, which is no different really to any other lip product, but you have to replenish it after eating or something similar, but probably not after drinking, depending on the way you drink I guess. Presentation! I nearly forgot to comment on presentation, some people call the presentation outdated with the quilted lid, I think its really cute and I love it, I overall just love love love the packaging I think its gorgeous.

Macaroon:

Macaroon is a gorgeous red colour with sparkle in it, it has brilliant colour payoff but to make it slightly more natural and wearable I blot it. I believe this is a new colour, and I am head over heels in love with it. I wear this one slightly less than cupcake simply because I prefer pink colours and natural looks, I love the name of it and I find it really cute. I love this colour however I find it has a slightly less creamier texture than cupcake and the pigmentation is slightly different to cupcake, I would say macaroon is slightly less pigmented. I love this product and the colour pay off is excellent! Product Rating (out of 5 stars- *) I would rate this *****

Cupcake:

Cupcake is another lovely colour, its a light pink colour, but it has less sparkle than Macaroon, but there is a very subtle sparkle to it. I slightly prefer the colour of Cupcake to Macaroon because I love subtle, natural looks and I love pink colours on the lips. On a quick side note don't you love the picture I made above? Haha. Anyway! I also love the name of cupcake it makes me really want cupcakes and it just sounds yummy if that makes sense! The texture of cupcake is slightly more creamy and smoother than Macaroon and I really do mean slightly, you only notice the difference if  you look for it sort of thing. Cupcake is more pigmented but some people may think that's a bad thing and some may think its a good thing, personally I think its a good thing because it means there is a better colour pay off. Macaroon's colour pay off is better than cupcake's though but this is probably just because you notice it more as its a more noticeable colour. Product Rating (out of 5 stars- *) *****

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream Review

As I mentioned in my first blog post I was supposed to be getting a sampler of Maybelline's dream fresh BB cream and it finally came a few days ago, it came with three sachets and I have used one and a half of them, the reason I have only used half of the second is they actually give a lot in one sachet and I haven't been using to much as a little goes a long way, the samples came in the pale shade which actually matches my skin tone perfectly in my opinion, I also think that for something that isn't a foundation but a mix between foundation and a tinted moisturiser this gives fantastic coverage, my proof on the matter is not only what I could see in the difference on my skin but I was putting on my mascara after putting on the BB cream and I was out so I didn't have any make-up wipes, so typically some mascara smeared onto my cheek just under my eyes, so I just put BB cream over it and you could not see it, now you may think that it will be really noticeable or orange but its actually looks really natural as long as you have the right shade like with everything, it also doesn't leave any residue on the skin if it is blended in well, but if it is lightly blended and just left on the skin it will leave residue, which I could feel on my jaw line which I hadn't blended in well enough, but trust me it doesn't take long to blend in, I could do it quickly with my fingers. It says that is is an 8 in 1 product and I will  now tell you if it does each one:
*Imperfections look blurred- yes it does as it has great coverage
*A natural looking glow- yes it does make your skin glow, however the one slight downfall is it makes your skin look slightly shiny.
*fresh feel- 100% it feels so nice and refreshing on your skin.
*compliments skin tone- yes as long as you have the right shade so yes.
*skin looks smooth- yes its an even consistency and it moisturises so that helps to make the skin smoother.
*hydrates- yup!
*protects with SPF 30- well if it has SPF in it which it does then thats true
*oil free, non-greasy- true about it being non-greasy and if it has no oils in it then obviously its oil-free.
so it does all eight of them which I am really impressed about :)
I absolutely love this product and I will definitely be purchasing the actual thing. You can get it in Boots, Superdrug and most major supermarkets according to the letter that came with it, I don't know about availability in other countries than the UK, the price in boots is 7.99 so pretty affordable :)   The next review/blog post that I think will be up is a review on the Revlon lip butters or the No7 match made foundation service expeirence :D
