Soap And Glory Hand Food Review

Hey guys so I'm back with another review this time of Soap and Glory's Hand Food! So many people in the youtube and blogging world have been raving about this and I generally love hand creams and I love soap and glory so I thought I would give it a go.

My first impression when I saw the two different sizes in the shop was to get the smaller one for taking around in my bag with me and I thought that I would never use all of the bigger version. Now I really wish I had gotten the bigger version, with the way that I am using it!

The hand cream smells so so good that my hands are practically glued to my face after I put it on, attractive I'm sure... Anyway apart from the smell it is also non-greasy, which to me is one of the most important things in a hand cream, I absolutely hate it when they leave a residue on your hands, this if properly rubbed in is untraceable apart from the softer feel that it leaves behind and its amazing smell, even if you don't quite get it all rubbed in, in a matter of maybe a minute it will have naturally of absorbed.

The feel of the product, I mean in the way of dry/chapped hands and if it softens, heals, moisturises etc, I would have to say it really does all of these things, for 2.50 you really can't go wrong (I think its 5.00 for the large size). If you have dry/chapped hands in need of moisturising then this does it all, it also softens your hands, making them supple which is always nice.

The packaging is sweet, girly and I just love it. The easily squeezy bottle is convenient and the size is great for travel and for keeping in your bag, its a staple in my bag and I would recommend getting the bigger one for your dressing table or something, I know thats what I'm going to do.

Product Rating (out of 5 *'s): *****

Revlon Lip Butter Macaroon&Cupcake Review

I recently purchased two Revlon Lip Butters, in the colours Macaroon and Cupcake. There have been many mixed feelings about these products so I swallowed my reservations and bought them, well to be honest I was very excited about getting them after I watched MissGlamorazzi's review on them on youtube, she is one of my favorite youtubers so that really helped make up my mind, also Fleur De Force's blog post on them (another of my favorite youtubers) anyway on to the product reviews, I am reviewing both colours individually on here as each lip butter varies in pigmentation, texture etc.

Things about both of them:
They have a slightly gel like formulation but I don't mind this at all, it also has a soft texture which feels velvety on the lips, the only problem with the formulation is that when you wind down the lip butters they tend to smoosh a bit at the top. The colour stays on for about half the day if left alone, which is no different really to any other lip product, but you have to replenish it after eating or something similar, but probably not after drinking, depending on the way you drink I guess. Presentation! I nearly forgot to comment on presentation, some people call the presentation outdated with the quilted lid, I think its really cute and I love it, I overall just love love love the packaging I think its gorgeous.

Macaroon:

Macaroon is a gorgeous red colour with sparkle in it, it has brilliant colour payoff but to make it slightly more natural and wearable I blot it. I believe this is a new colour, and I am head over heels in love with it. I wear this one slightly less than cupcake simply because I prefer pink colours and natural looks, I love the name of it and I find it really cute. I love this colour however I find it has a slightly less creamier texture than cupcake and the pigmentation is slightly different to cupcake, I would say macaroon is slightly less pigmented. I love this product and the colour pay off is excellent! Product Rating (out of 5 stars- *) I would rate this *****

Cupcake:

Cupcake is another lovely colour, its a light pink colour, but it has less sparkle than Macaroon, but there is a very subtle sparkle to it. I slightly prefer the colour of Cupcake to Macaroon because I love subtle, natural looks and I love pink colours on the lips. On a quick side note don't you love the picture I made above? Haha. Anyway! I also love the name of cupcake it makes me really want cupcakes and it just sounds yummy if that makes sense! The texture of cupcake is slightly more creamy and smoother than Macaroon and I really do mean slightly, you only notice the difference if  you look for it sort of thing. Cupcake is more pigmented but some people may think that's a bad thing and some may think its a good thing, personally I think its a good thing because it means there is a better colour pay off. Macaroon's colour pay off is better than cupcake's though but this is probably just because you notice it more as its a more noticeable colour. Product Rating (out of 5 stars- *) *****

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream Review

As I mentioned in my first blog post I was supposed to be getting a sampler of Maybelline's dream fresh BB cream and it finally came a few days ago, it came with three sachets and I have used one and a half of them, the reason I have only used half of the second is they actually give a lot in one sachet and I haven't been using to much as a little goes a long way, the samples came in the pale shade which actually matches my skin tone perfectly in my opinion, I also think that for something that isn't a foundation but a mix between foundation and a tinted moisturiser this gives fantastic coverage, my proof on the matter is not only what I could see in the difference on my skin but I was putting on my mascara after putting on the BB cream and I was out so I didn't have any make-up wipes, so typically some mascara smeared onto my cheek just under my eyes, so I just put BB cream over it and you could not see it, now you may think that it will be really noticeable or orange but its actually looks really natural as long as you have the right shade like with everything, it also doesn't leave any residue on the skin if it is blended in well, but if it is lightly blended and just left on the skin it will leave residue, which I could feel on my jaw line which I hadn't blended in well enough, but trust me it doesn't take long to blend in, I could do it quickly with my fingers. It says that is is an 8 in 1 product and I will  now tell you if it does each one:
*Imperfections look blurred- yes it does as it has great coverage
*A natural looking glow- yes it does make your skin glow, however the one slight downfall is it makes your skin look slightly shiny.
*fresh feel- 100% it feels so nice and refreshing on your skin.
*compliments skin tone- yes as long as you have the right shade so yes.
*skin looks smooth- yes its an even consistency and it moisturises so that helps to make the skin smoother.
*hydrates- yup!
*protects with SPF 30- well if it has SPF in it which it does then thats true
*oil free, non-greasy- true about it being non-greasy and if it has no oils in it then obviously its oil-free.
so it does all eight of them which I am really impressed about :)
I absolutely love this product and I will definitely be purchasing the actual thing. You can get it in Boots, Superdrug and most major supermarkets according to the letter that came with it, I don't know about availability in other countries than the UK, the price in boots is 7.99 so pretty affordable :)   The next review/blog post that I think will be up is a review on the Revlon lip butters or the No7 match made foundation service expeirence :D

Max Factor Eye Brightening Mascara Review

Max Factor Eye Brightening Mascara is a very good mascara but I am not sure it does anything in eye brightening department, it doesn't bring out any colour in your eyes, I think its a very good mascara though because you can make your lashes look long very quickly without using very much so it will last for a long time. You can use one put it onto your lashes once and you see an immediate change, your eyelashes will quickly look longer and you can curl them up with the wand. The packaging is pretty average at the bottom part its just white with the name on but the lid is better, it is black but it has an eye on it, with the colour eye it is supposed to be on it which just brightens up the packaging, so overall I would say the packaging is better than most, the wand is pretty small and thin and doesn't look like anything special but it is so easy to use and gives you so much control. Product Rating: ****

no7 Liplicious Moisturising Balm Review

no7 liplicious moisturising balm has SPF 15 so it will protect your lips from sunburn which may sound really stupid but if they do burn it really really hurts so its worth just looking for a lip balm or gloss that has SPF to put on underneath the lip product you want to put on. I got it in the colour Marshmallow it is a clear balm with a slight pink tint to it, the scent to it is like dolly mix or I suppose Marshmallow, but to me it reminds me more of dolly mix. It literally has no taste to my mind but you might be able to taste something. The packaging is a love/hate thing, I love some elements of the packaging and some I really hate, the elements I love is it isn't in a hard to open tin like most lip balms its in a squeezy tube like lip gloss, and the top is a click on but it looks like a twisty one but its not so don't be fooled by that, its a good thing that its a click on because twist on ones get sticky if you have lip gloss or balm in them. The factors that I hate are that the letters on it fade quickly so you can't read what it is which is annoying for things like this, so you can't explain the shades, and the worst thing about it is the packaging is clear, you can see how yucky it might get inside.

Max Factor Lipfinity Lasting Lip Tint Review

This is a review for the Max Factor Lipfinity Lasting Lip Tint, I got it quite a while because it looked really good and I had seen people rave about it, but because of a fault I made myself I was disappointed with the product. So here is why and the review.

I love the packaging its like a felt tip pen and its just generally nice to carry around and gives you good control, although the detail on it chips quite quickly but it stays nicely in tact other than that. When I got it I got it in shade 3 and I think that its way to bright, its like a bright pink colour that on your lips comes out as reddy dark pink so its not exactly what the colour on the packaging suggests, but still it's good if you want a bright pink, stand out colour but not for everyday or for a subtle or natural look. So I will try to use it up but I might just repurchase in a lighter shade. But I do think that depending on the heat of the day it varies in how long it lasts, on hotter days it lasts less time most likely because of the extra oils that your body is producing in the heat. On colder days I would say it lasts for about half the day so it doesn't last very long but if say you wanted to wear it to a party then it would probably fill its purpose then.

mine is the bright pink one in the middle of this picture

Maybelline Matte Mousse Foundation Review

This is my Maybelline New York Dream Matte Mousse Foundation Review I have it in shade 10, ivory. I have had it for quite a long time and its a really good foundation, depending on what look you want to create and how much coverage you want.

The review:
I would say this foundation gives light to medium coverage, it looks natural but still is a nice base for my make-up you don't have to use a primer underneath and it stays on for a long time because when I take it off at the end of the day you can see it on the make-up wipes. It doesn't look orange at all unless you have the wrong shade for your skin tone or you really coat it on, I know this from experience, me and my friend for a joke did a video showing how not to wear make-up, I don't know if you will be able to see it on you tube because my friends laptop is broken which is what we filmed it on, but if we get it up I will let you guys know, it will be on my channel Daisy-Grace Cotton. Anyway, the foundation is really good and the packaging is really good, its compact and light, really good for travelling and just taking it around and about. I got it from boots for six pounds 99. Just so you know the reason I don't write price in numbers is because my pound sign button doesn't work on my laptop so now you know.
